I had decided somewhat on a whim to test the market and list my home for sale by owner. I believed the property would generate quite an interest given the location and lack of inventory within its price range. A couple weeks went by without any serious inquiries however I was inundated with realtors wanting to come view the home with what I assumed was the hope of getting the listing. Most of these realtors quickly walked through the home and immediately launched into a generic list of reasons why I should list the home with them. That was until Alison called requesting to view the property. Alison walked in and was extremely professional and well prepared and definitely went the extra mile providing feedback on my FSBO listing as well as comparable sales in the area. After a couple days of negotiation, which was salvaged by Alison’s cooler head prevailing, we were under contract by Tuesday.
